Commercial Lighting Projects:
See the Before and After Transformations
Every commercial lighting project we take on starts with a problem worth solving. Maybe it's a tired retail space where customers can't quite see the product. A warehouse where glare causes headaches and dim corners hide stock. An office where staff are squinting through dated fluorescents, or a hospitality venue where the atmosphere falls flat the moment the sun goes down.
Our projects page exists to show you exactly what changes when commercial lighting is properly designed, specified, and installed. Browse the before and after photography below to see how the right lighting scheme transforms a space, lifts a brand, improves energy efficiency, and changes the way people use the room.

NEW WORLD - BEFORE

NEW WORLD - AFTER

New World Waipukurau completed a full lighting upgrade to enhance in-store presentation, improve the shopping experience, and significantly reduce operating costs.
At the core of the upgrade is a continuous LED trunking system, designed specifically for supermarket aisles. The system creates an unbroken line of light along each aisle, eliminating dark patches and visual gaps so the space feels brighter, more open, and easier to navigate. Using double asymmetric optics, light is evenly distributed across both sides of the aisle, ensuring shelves are well lit from top to bottom and products are clearly visible.
The lighting delivers CRI > 90 with < 3 SDCM, providing excellent colour accuracy and consistency across the store. This is particularly important for fresh food areas, where accurate colour representation directly improves product appeal and customer perception. The result is a clean, uniform lighting environment that enhances both visibility and overall store quality. The upgrade also gives the store a more modern, visually appealing look, significantly improving overall store aesthetics.
Beyond performance, the trunking system is highly practical. Its modular, snap-in design allows for fast installation and flexibility, with the ability to integrate track lighting, emergency fittings, sensors, and other services within the same system. The built-in cable management keeps everything organised and visually tidy.
The upgrade has also delivered substantial cost savings. Annual power costs have reduced from $51,100 to $16,016, resulting in a saving of $35,084 per year (approximately 69% reduction in energy use). In addition, reduced maintenance requirements contribute a further $3,313 in annual savings.
Key Results :
• 68.7% reduction in electricity consumption (204,400 kWh → 64,064 kWh)
• 68.7% reduction in operating cost ($51,100 → $16,016 per year)
• Total investment: $64,115
• Simple payback: 1.67 years
Over a 10-year service life, this equates to:
• $480,600 in energy savings
• $45,380 in maintenance savings
• Total savings of approximately $525,980
Overall, the project demonstrates how high-quality lighting can deliver both visual impact and strong financial returns, combining improved retail presentation with long-term operational efficiency
